Ballet and the Boxer

Weird mix, right? Haha!

This summer my daughter had her first ballet class.  My mom signed her up and took her most of the days because I had sessions already scheduled but I was able to make a couple and snagged a few pictures at the last one.  Daphne is the one with the ripped tights (she fell in the parking lot right when we got there.)  She had fun and thank you, mom! (Maybe this will redeem me from my last post?!)

Daph and her little friend, chatting!

Daph’s friend, B (and thanks T for bringing Daph to class with you guys when we couldnt make it!) This was circle time where they go to the middle and do whatever they want. B rocked it!

and then it’s my child’s turn and she goes to the middle and does a breakdance worm kind of thing. She is so my child.  Haha!

Then yesterday I was laying on the ground and tell the kids to look into my camera and make goofy faces but my boxer dog, Zoe, is totally obsessed with me and I can’t even walk one foot without her following me. Seriously. She drives me nuts. When I take a shower, she shoves her head in the back of the shower to stalk me there too.  Yes, dog, I love you too but geez! HAHA Anyways, before the kids even had a chance to do what I asked, stalker dog was in my face giving me the “but don’t you love ME?!?” face.  Girlfriend seriously needs to wax those chin hairs. :P

Ok, enough about us! Stay tuned for a new marathon date in Atlanta, GA!  I’m also working on a new project that will be revealed in about a month or so so stay tuned.

Me and My Gang

No, not the Rascal Flatts song! LOL Us! The tremendously talented Krissy Allori was just visiting in the San Diego area and we were lucky enough to have her do our family pictures. She is a portland area photographer and for all you Portlanders, go book a session! She rocks! I’ll put a few of them below but if you want to see them all you can here: Krissy Allori. Thank you, Krissy!

7.24.10 David and Krystle = LOVE.

This past weekend I had the privilege of seeing David and Krystle, photographer friends I met on a wedding photography forum last year, get hitched in Las Vegas! Super fun! Also met some new photographer friends in person that I had first met online, Ray Prevost and Marcia Gold. It’s extra fun when you feel like you “know” people you have never even met in real life before and it just seems like you’ve been friends for a long time.  That’s how it was with this group combined from Halifax, Owatonna, Modesto, LA, to Temecula.  Anyways, on to the pictures! We started at the Valley Of Fire, about 45 mins outside of Vegas and HOT as hell in July but it was worth it.  Mr. Ray knew the places to go here!  P.S. Krystle made her bouquet out of vintage brooches.  Isn’t it the coolest bouquet ever?!

We werent allowed to take pictures during the ceremony due to chapel rules but these were after the cermony in our hotel lobby. I love some pics where you can see the spicey-ness between a couple! Rawr!

Congratulations, David and Krystle!!

Ooh, and afterwards we went to dinner and look at this cute surprise flamingo cake that Marcia Gold ordered.  So adorable (this is just with my camera phone.)

One more personal post…..:)

My little soon to be ballerina! I love taking “funky” pics for fun and thought her twirling in her new ballet outfit would be perfect for that.

P.S.  Boudoir album post coming up next! As in tonight….I promise! HAHA

Bad Blogger……AGAIN.

Sorry! I am such a terrible blogger. I kind of figure people come here to look at pictures and not for my stellar writing skills (*snicker*) so if I dont have permission for blog sneaks I just neglect the blog all together!  I am working on putting up some pics of the albums so that will be up in the next day ish.

Hmm, what else? Ooh, I also started taking Zumba classes. Those are really fun! If you havent tried it yet, you should!  I have the coordination of a newborn giraffe so if I can do it, everyone can do it!

School is almost out! Yay! Waking a kid up at 7 am that doesnt want to be woken up (dont blame him!) is NOT fun.  Why does elementary school start at 7:40 anyways? I am SOOOO looking forward to summer break!

AND….because no blog post should be without images………

My little monkey, Daphne, acting crazy (gee, I wonder where she gets that?)

Daphne giving my niece, Sophie, a smooch

and see, I do have a son. He exists.  Jevin is not a camera fan.  Playing Rockband with papa.

See? I told you.  LOL He’s saying “no pics!”

Okay, I will stop now. ;) Hope everyone has a great rest of the week. I have some summer openings for boudoir sessions too, give me a holler if you are interested.
