July 15, 1997

So here it is, July 15 again! It’s been TWELVE years since our first date! I was 17 and he was 16 (yeah, shush….I’m a tad older.  Only 4 months and 18 days though! HAHA) My friend Heather and I had actually gotten an extra concert ticket for Jon’s brother but he couldnt go so he gave it to his little bro.  At the concert Jon grabbed my hand and we’ve been together ever since.  Yep, I married my first boyfriend.  He’s the only one I’ve ever even kissed! 

I remember being so nervous, felt like puking from the nerves! HAHA! We were in a group of friends and they were all talking to Rivers Cuomo and getting his signature on their tickets and hats and we were off in la la land like “who cares!”  

Anyways, here it is twelve years later to the date.  Now we have 10+ years of marriage and two kids under our belt. ;) Jon, it’s been the best twelve years of my life with you.  We were young, super young, but I would do it all again in a heartbeat.  For sure! I love you, Jon! 

Oh and what good would a blog be without a picture.  So here’s the concert ticket stub from July 15, 1997, with no signature from Rivers like all the rest of our friends have.  LOL!

    LOL, yep $15! The service charge was only a couple bucks then too! That place dv8 was kind of a hole. LOL I think its an underage dance club now.
